A sweet poem I found...

As I sit here and I peel an orange,

I get to know you a little bit better.

Your favorite color, your favorite flower,

your favorite food, your favorite weather.

It's only been five minutes now

but I know I am going to like you.

It's not your golden hair, or your cute clothes, or your beautiful breasts.

It's your deep blue eyes that look at me when I look at you.

And never have I been so comfortable

three feet away from a woman so indescribable. 

You're likable. And if it's cloudy with a bit of fog,

I'll bring you yellow roses and Chinese in a bowl

and we'll wait for the rain...

It's your favorite right?

I just met you. Is that weird to say?

It's felt like days and decades but please just stay.

I know it's May. It's not going to rain

but the flowers, I promise, are on their way.

Who am I kidding?

I'm here sitting thinking about how pretty you are.

You haven't said a word and I'm worried you think I have but an ounce of courage.

No, it's not what you're thinking.

Boyfriend & Best friend forever.

much greater. And that is a man

I liked to tell you about: Ben Folds

& Ben Folds Five. 

I thought I knew of his glory and

brilliance on the ivories. But I was

proven wrong. By the grace of my

housemate Andy Ferguson, I have

been blessed with hours upon hours

of additional, fresh, and amazing

songs all of which are by Ben Folds

or Ben Folds Five. 

His music is just too fucking good.

Even though I have all his songs on

my computer, I really want to buy

his entire discography and never 

open them because it would make

them that much sweeter. I hope you

all know that today has been magical,

despite riding my bike 3.5 miles in 

the rain to school. I'd just like to let

you know that I have found a BFF and

his name is BF.

blog. I think it'll be a

good outlet in the new

year.
